Delayed from 2020, to 2021, to 2022 – Scoutabout was Back! with over 6000 Scouts and Guides from across Surrey, the team were supporting from the Week before to ensure everything went smoothly.
A sample of the jobs we undertook:
- Helping the Admin Team with Gate staff, transport for volunteers across the showground
- Fixing a water leak in the Tuck Shop and preventing all the stock from being damaged.
- Helping the First Aid team with equipment and staff.
- Escorting contractors on site overnight to allow them to fix the plumbing in the toilets.
- Providing access at yellow gate for food deliveries and emergency access.
- Providing radios for the service teams, and operating a 24/7 control room.
- Providing our Fire Appliance for the fire team.
